Research reflection

Finding out

In the section of the exhibition “finding out” we needed to find information about the three lines of inquiry that we had written about our exhibition. Some things I found  tricky were:                                                  1. Finding an answer to my first line of inquiry.             2. Having enough information for my third line of inquiry                                                                                     3. Finishing my finding out on time.

Sorting out

sorting out is the part where we go over our researched  and see what else we need to do:                     Make sure we had researched every line of inquiry           Make sure we have enough for each line of inquiry           I needed more information for my third line of inquiry so I researched that in my going further.

Going further

Going further is the end of our research and is when we find out things we haven’t found out and need to.    I researched my third line of inquiry in this time and successfully finished.

Exhibition Reflection

This week we started our research. We all started on our first line of inquiry, my first line of inquiry  was: An Inquiry into the connection between air and deforestation. This fitted into the key concept of causation. The answer to my first line of inquiry is: a tree absorbs carbon dioxide and keeps it there. When it dies it releases carbon dioxide which is a green house gas. Carbon dioxide will trap heat and add to global warming. Now I am onto my second line of inquiry which is: how can we slow down the affect of deforestation? I am now researching that and hope to finish soon.

We are moving to a planet far, far away

In the year 3032, me my mum and dad are moving to a planet far far away. It is not like where live right now,Mars, its much colder. All the trees are covered in frost and there are swamps every where. My mum says it’s 150 light years away and that it’s in a completely different galaxy. I don’t want to move anywhere but my mum says we can have better life there. I will mis the nice hot blaze of the sun and the nice warm soil, hopefully I will always remember the life that we had on Mars.

But its the wrong colour

I lay on the couch with my head in the clouds and my body energy-less. My mother thought I was sick and went to the shop, just to get some fruit. The doorbell wailed loudly. Before I even had a chance to fall of the couch, someone burst in and ran in front of me, he offered me fruit. He or she was wearing a mask, I decided to take an orange but it was the wrong colour. It was dead blackThe masked creep took of her mask and it was mum. She smiled at me and said “take the medicine”.

…I was so cross that…

Storming through the oval I was, I could barely see anything so I kept walking forward past the teasing kids. Wet grass was most hated now more than ever.  “ brown back” they were calling, it was just one slip yet they were teasing. I found my self sitting down at a bench with my back turned at the wall making no one could see the wet mud on my back. Someone approached me slowly with a caring face. I was so cross that I didn’t even notice it was my mum and I roared at her to stay back.
